Significant management changes have been made in the executive ranks and board of directors of Microcell Telecommunications Inc. since being acquired by Rogers Wireless Inc. this month. André Tremblay, president and CEO, and Jacques Leduc, CFO and treasurer, have left the front offices of Microcell. They have been replaced by Rogers Wireless president and CEO Nadir Mohamed and John Gossling senior VP and CFO. As well Alain Rhéaume, formerly president and COO of Microcell Solutions Inc., has been appointed executive VP and president of Fido. Microcell’s entire board of directors has resigned and is being replaced by Garfield Emerson, George Fierheller, Ann Graham, James Grant, Thomas Ian Hull, Nadir Mohamed, Pierre Morrissette, David Peterson, Ted Rogers, Martha Rogers and Christopher Wansbrough. David Colville, commissioner and vice-chair of telecommunications at the CRTC, has announced that he will retire at the end of this year.
