Canadians spent $8B on digital products last year: StatCan

According to the latest numbers from Statistics Canada, 67 per cent of adult Canadians purchased a digital product, such as a subscription to a streaming service, ebooks or online newspapers, between July 2017 and June 2018.
That number grew to 79 per cent of all adults when including free versions, according to StatCan’s inaugural digital economy survey, released on Wednesday.
